ADNOC Distribution and TotalEnergies are marking two years of their successful partnership in Egypt at the Egypt Energy Show. The collaboration is reflected in a co-branded booth showcasing their joint efforts to enhance Egypt’s energy infrastructure.
In 2023, ADNOC Distribution acquired 50% of TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt (TEME), forming a joint venture that runs over 240 fuel retail sites in Egypt, as well as involving wholesale, aviation fuel, and lubricant blending operations. The partnership aims to expand beyond ADNOC Distribution service stations by making Voyager lubricants accessible through independent Egyptian distributors.
TEME is concentrating on expanding its footprint in Egypt’s aviation fuel sector this year, reflecting the country's pivotal role as a transportation and tourism hub in North Africa. Both companies are dedicated to supporting Egypt's energy requirements, promoting economic development, and providing top-tier services.
Voyager lubricants by ADNOC are produced locally in Egypt by TEME for domestic sales and international exports, showcasing Egypt's potential as an export-oriented manufacturing center. By bolstering its retail network and investing in local manufacturing, TEME aims to become a significant player in Egypt’s energy sector, fostering economic growth and sustainability in the foreseeable future.
The partnership facilitated ADNOC's entry into the Egyptian market with its retail fuel and Oasis convenience store brands. Eng. Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, expressed pride in the success of the TEME joint venture, emphasizing their commitment to delivering innovative solutions and superior customer experiences.
Thomas Strauss, Managing Director & Country Chair of TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt, highlighted the mutual commitment to enhancing Egypt's energy solutions, acknowledging the country's economic potential as a vital aspect of their growth strategy. ADNOC Distribution is gearing up to launch its flagship service station in New Cairo this year, which will include an expanded ADNOC Oasis convenience store and a wider range of automotive services compared to the existing ADNOC-branded stations in the country.
